Mike at DVT is as legit as they get!  He has helped me on numerous occasions both paid and un-paid.  Just this morning he took my call and gave me step by step instructions on making a repair to one of my rods, with no hesitation to do so.

He's a good guy with great service.  If you need any work done on your rods or reels, I wouldn't recommend anyone else.

x2. I've sent 5 or 6 reels to him with excellent results...

X2 ~

I'm packing up a half dozen casting reels for their annual off season cleaning & service right now . . . .

This isn't bass specific, but if a reel is being used for both freshwater and saltwater, are there different bearings/grease/drag washers that should be used if upgrading or does it not matter?  I'm thinking of sending some reels in and wondering if I need to speciify which reels will be used in salt.

Definitely let him know, he will decide, but what can it hurt

Dvt is very helpful and I appreciate his info and advice.  I try to do my own work but if and when I can afford to I would definitely use the service they provide.

Buy a rod from him....you will question buying off the rack again.

I just sent him my first reel, he was patient with my questions up to this point.

Had to come back and give Mike @Delaware Valley Tackle one more shout out.  Just got my rod back that he repaired and it quite literally looks as good as new.

Whole thing took less than a week from when i sent to him to when i got it back.  Only missed 1 (uneventful) trip with the rod!

Thanks again Mike!
