All,

After 30+" of snow I have a chance to get out tomorrow.  I'll be shore fishing since the water is mostly frozen but have a few places I can get into from land.  Honestly, I'll just be happy to get into the water and practice but, any advice on shore fishing EXTREMELY cold water is appreciated!

Best,

RT

Fish a suspending hard jerkbait with long pauses and very soft twitches. A small crappie jig under a bobber with long pauses and soft twitches (float-n-fly), would be another good option.

Thanks!  I'll be sure to go slower than slow can be! haha.

I have a strange feeling there's something waiting for me in a few hours, and in my opinion confidence is the best bait there is!

One thing about cold weather fishing, it can be a great time to land a monster.

I will be on the water as soon as I can get there after I get off work in the morning.

Move the bait slow.  Deadstick the bait when you are around cover that looks like it might hold bass.

I do well on a shaky head with a wacky worm on it. I fish it very slow and shake it in place then dead stick it for awhile.

Live Bait, but cold water down here is in the 50s, lol!
