Jig setup?

Featured Replies

I need a jiggin' rod and reel combo for under 300 dollars. Any suggestions?

I'd get a Phenix maxim 7'3 H paired with a shimano curado I

There are many combos that'll suit your jigging needs well. I will agree with the curado I, from above. Excellent reel for $130. Many options on good rods for the remaining $170. I'm personally using a loomis imx844mbr(old and current version), shimano Cumara 7'2"xtra fast mh, and a hammer 7'3"H, they are all great. The older imx mbr844 is my fav stick period.

Shimano Curado I 7.2:1/ Powell Inferno 734

St Croix avid X w/ shimano curado I or a lightly used dobyns champion 734/735 pending on weight range you plan on throwing.

I use a Daiwa Tatula 7'2" H and a Revo SX ( check Amazon on the reel, about $30 off)

Currently I use an Allstar ASR jig rod with a Curado E. IMHO best jig rod not made anymore.

However I will be getting a Loomis JWR rod soon. Just have to decide which one.
