I would think so. Have you used the E series reels before? It will fish quite similar to the Chronarch 200E or Curado 200E. I haven't used this reel personally but from I understand, outside of the color their are a few internal differences (likely with the bearings and the backup anti reverse mechanism being removed).

Right now the market is quite in the sellers favor for these "E" series reels. Seems like they are drawing good money. I have seen Curado and Chronarch 200E reels go anywhere between $130 and $200 depending upon condition. The price you mentioned is right in the middle not to mention it is a bit more rare than the US Chronarch and Curado so it would be more appealing to enthusiasts and collectors should you decided to part with it.

Buy it, fish it, and evaluate it but keep a reel cover on it when not in use. If you don't like if for whatever reason sell it. You should have no problem getting close if not all of what you paid for it.

I sold a near mint Curado 200E with Abec 5 bearings, box, paperwork, and few bling parts from HH studios for $160 shipped.

can get one new in box for $166.   jump on it?

Thats a fairly good price, I bought mine last year for around $130, but I had my eye on them and had to wait it out until I won an auction.

I should have my 1001xt today or Monday. Bought from a Japan seller on eBay for $150. I'd say that's a good price of you're a fan of the series. Otherwise the new I series is about the same price or cheaper.

yeah im a huge fan of the E series.  the I series was mentioned i have one of those as well but for whatever reason i prefer the E series.  just wasnt sure if that was a deal or if they turn up a little cheaper sometimes.  i dont need a reel at the moment but i may grab one anyway lol

That's a good price. I paid $179 for mine and I'm not sorry in the least! I love it. Get it.
