I've been laughing at this all day. I got a new key chain last week. It's a luger cap gun. It shoots a single circle from the ring caps. I didn't notice until this morning. It has an orange cap over the barrel! Who in the world would mistake this for an actual fire arm!?! It's smaller than a lighter! No political comments. Frankly I don't want or care to hear anything about big brother, gun control, or any other garbage regarding that. I'm just amused that they even thought to include the orange cap.

 

There's real firearms not far off from that size. Maybe not mass produced ones, or even professionally made, but they're out there.

I laugh every time I pick up my paintball gun. It is not required here in WI to have a orange tip on the gun. Unlike some states were the gun has to be a bright color. If you compare it to a scale ar-15 bb gun I have. It looks about the same size, The muzzle break looks more real, it also at a glace would look like a real gun. To some one that has no clue what a real gun looks like.

I think the orange cap is so you...you in particular...don't get shot. I have heard you may resemble a rough and tumble kind of dude that the police may NOT want to tangle with.

I never said that. I just stated I look like the 1%er that I am. Never have I claimed to scare law enforcement officers. Especially not some of the ones down here. We tend to have big old corn fed country boy police down here. Besides there are lots of woods and mine shafts that no one goes too. That works both ways.

Raider, you sure have a unique outlook... makes me laugh. Thanks for that and for being such a good sport. 

I think some people "assume" the general public knows the difference between ANYTHING.  To some a loud motorcycle is a Harley. To some a Megabass rod is the same as an Ugly Stik.  To some a Ruger 10/22 is the same as a fully auto AK 47. Never underestimate the ignorance of the general public.

That small orange cap could save some dummies life.
I've read plenty of stories of people painting their BB guns all black to make it look real.
Then people go do something stupid, get hurt and then people cry and protest for the wrong reasons.

ANYWAY
