fishing lake Cachuma CA

Featured Replies

Went over to lake cachuma with Joe H. for the evening bite last night got a nice 2 pounder on the megabass popmax and another strike that came off. Also caught a HUGE crappie I'm guessing 2 to 2 1/2 pounds on a small rainbow colored swimbait! I was so surprised LOL.

Looks like a spawning male black crappie. They are usually my first topwater fish of the year haha.

Chunky largemouth, but that is a slab crappie!  A stringer of those slabs can make for a fun day of fishing and a nice fish fry
