'Honey Do' Time

Featured Replies

A word to the wise for all you young married bucks and to al the others that, like myself, have STML (Short Term Memory Loss);

NOW IS THE TIME TO GET THE HONEY DOs DONE!  I needed to yell because some of us that suffer from STML are also hard of hearing.

Trust me. You do not want to wait until fishing season when your better half mentions that project you've been meaning to do, especially if it will take a day or two to complete. You don't want to waste a day, or possibly more of fishing time to complete something she feels is more important. Do you?  Get them done now.  Then when she comes up with some other mindless project, you can always remind her that she should have said something before the season was in full swing.

You're Welcome

But there is a good chunk of that infamous list than I can't even think about getting into until I can at least start seeing some Dirt !

This should be regarded as a Public Service Announcement haha

My wife doesn`t "tell me what to do"

She just points and I know:wacko:

I had a honey to do list one time

I took three years off to go fishing for fish and other things

wouldn't you know it when I came home there was some other guy living in my house doing my list

Good Lord that was a great fishing trip

After 43 years and going through some of the adventures we have there really is no list and we pretty much take each day as it comes.  There are exceptions of course but lately it seems it just boils down to how high a priority is it.  She pretty much lets me fish anytime.  And I also pretty much rain or shine keep up our one acre.  Kind of hard after a storm but love burning fallen limbs and such.  Garden is almost ready to plant.  Don't watch a lot of TV so kind of work and do stuff till bout five and then its fix dinner and ahhhhhhhhh.   Won't go into to much detail on the attitude but I will say I'm glad I'm above ground and so is my wife.

I really don't have a "Honey-do" list, there are a few things she asks me to do every year like, help with the gold fish pond, I generally take care of everything outside the home and she for the most part takes care of everything inside, she has asked me to reorganize the basement this year which I really don't mind doing because my fishing gear is down there as well, hhhhmmmm, kind'a makes me wonder what she has in mind now that I think about it...

I have it made in the shade......................my "honey do" list during the winter when we are not busy at work is:

Don't burn the house down (that rule is in effect all year long)

Don't shoot guns in the house (also in effect all year long)

Keep the dishes washed, and the cats fed

Pick up the kids from school

Don't spend any money on things you don't need (I fail miserably at this one)

During the spring, summer and fall my list is:

Don't fish on the kids, or her birthday, or mothers day

Go to the kids stuff instead of fish (I don't really have to be told that, I'm not that big of a jerk LOL)

And let her know where I am in case of an emergency

Wow ~ No burning down Or gun shooting in the house -

Man, them are some pretty strict rules right there . . . .

The woman runs a tight ship.
