Looking for a new line

Featured Replies

all i pretty much use now is Mccoy copolymer.  hasnt let me down.  not expensive, strong, low memory, casts great. fixing to order a couple more spools myself

Theres a thread about over complicating tackle and simplifying things for more success.  I did that with line a while ago.  Trilene Big Game for everything. Bought in bulk and changed when needed, which isn't as often as braid lovers claim it is.  12lb., 15lb. and 20lb. depending on application. It has been a system that has worked out well for me, I wish I could do it that easily with lures.

For an "all around" line to be used for most applications that you asked for, I'd suggest Yo Zuri in the pound test that best fits the conditions you fish in the most.

My best all around line is Berkley 100% Fluoro. I use 12 lb test for just about everything on my bait casters other than flip&pitch/punchin'/froggin'.
