I am a little surprised Glenn chose a #2/0 EWG hooks. I always thought 4/0 EWG thin wire was the ticket.

 

I read something a while back where Gary Yamamoto himself said the 5" senko was designed to be fished with a 3/0 EWG hook for the perfect fall and action as designed. 

I use a 3/0 or 4/0 for a traditional texas rigged weightless 5 inch senko. I would personally never use a 2/0 for these as the gap isn't great enough.

I use a 1/0 or 3/0 straight-shank offset hook.   Never had a problem.

Tell ya what.....the bass won't know the difference.....as long as it's a Senko!

3/0 EWG for me.

I use 4/0 EWG for 5" Senko and Fat Ika 

I use a 3/0 EWG hook.
