Picasso Shock Blade Reviews

Featured Replies

Looking to pick up some more bladed jigs this year.  Specifically some 1/4oz has anyone used the Picasso Shock Blades in any size?  How do you like them?

Thanks!

The Shock Blades are solid and work great, especially if you want to work a slow retrieve.  The only issue I found is that if I started to burn it, it tended to roll on me.  But yeah, they're fine on a normal retrieve, and on a slower retrieve they seemed to maintain their action and work the best of any chatterbait I tried.

Thanks @blckshirt98 I usually keep my bladed jigs at a slow to steady retrieve except with ripping through grass.  I was thinking of using the 1/4oz baits above the grass at a slower pace.

Shock blade is REALLY nice, especially with colors and attention to detail. Doesn't seem to rise in the water column as easy as the Z-Mans do  especially with swimbait trailers like a Gambler EZ Swimmer which I use.

Ii was just looking at these and was kinda shocked at the price.  9.99 on Picasso Lures website, and 7.99 at TW.    Having said that, I really like a patented option to the Chatterbait!  I guess I am going to have to try them.  Any feedback on their performance?

I used them last year with great results. I used the 3/8 model, with a keitech swing impact fat trailer. The only problem I found with them is the keeper really tore up the trailers. Bluegill worked especially well.

I've got a couple 1/2 oz.

Like blckshirt I really like them for slow rolling. Especially around the edges of deep grass lines.

They're actually not my favorite.  I feel like the blades kinda stop on me every now and again.  The paint also comes off the blades pretty easily.  They def stay down in the water column though, which is nice and they have good hooks.  I like them, there are just others I like better.

Really good color selection on these, especially bluegill. I'm excited to give them a try.

I like these baits and fwiw have found them to be a good big fish bait for me.  Nice hook and the come through grass pretty well with a swimbait trailer.  I bought a handful of these in different colors but ended up throwing the green pumpkin/tiger the most.  I do have one tip.  Everyone I got that came in a package with Aaron Martens' picture on it run great out of the box.  The one's that came in a package without AMarts picture have not run as true (as mentioned above the blade will occasionally stop for no apparent reason).  I assume the ones with his picture are newer and maybe have a couple of the bugs worked out.
