So I took your advise today. I went back to pick up what they had left. The bad news is there were only 3. The good news they were reduced another 50%. I got them for $45 each. I also found a g loomis spinning rod for $50.

Black crankbaits
The solid black Bandit 100 and 200 have been confidence baits on rivers for years. Nothing fancy about it, but it just catches fish.

BPT / MLF Format Rules Needs To Change !!
It seems like they could have the best of both worlds by doing every fish counts on the first day of fishing, best 5 on the second, every fish counts on the third, and best five on the last. It would be interesting to see how strategies, fish management, and techniques changed with the day.

Fletcher Shryock taking shots at BASS
There are a lot of wolves in MLF. The problem is the wolves are having a contest to see who can catch the most mice. A couple of the wolves figured out that they are better at catching big game, so they decided to go back to hunting elk and deer.

Chatterbait
FWIW, a couple of weeks ago Jason Christie said on one of his tackle tip Tuesdays that if you aren't getting bites on a vibrating jig it's most likely because you are fishing it too slow.

The Truth About Livewell Additives: Video!
I'm a little confused. Should we use Hydrogen Peroxide and an additive? Or is it one or the other but not both?

My local Ollie's Bargain Outlet has recently restocked some Lucky Craft baits on their shelves for $6.99. This week everything in the store is 15% off making them right at $6. There were some Pointers, Sammys, Gunfish, and Squarebills mixed in with some odd ball stuff. They also had some Rapala and Luck-E Strike crankbaits for $4.99 before the discount.

thunder cricket vs. jackhammer
I picked up a 1/2 oz green pumpkin thunder cricket this weekend and took turns throwing it and a 1/2 oz green pumpkin jackhammer on a local lake with some decent grass. The thunder cricket definitely doesn't thump/vibrate as hard as the jackhammer. They also sound different in the water (the thunder cricket really does sound like a cricket). The JH is more erratic and hunts better. For me at least the TC came through grass better. I was able to fish the TC a little slower through the grass without getting fouled up. As far as catching fish, they both produced at almost the same rate. I definitely like the color choices of the JH over the color choices of the TC. I still favor the jackhammer, but I am pretty sure there will be days when the more subtle thump of the TC will catch more fish. If bladed jigs are a key part of what you do, your probably going to want to have both baits in your boat.

Picasso Shock Blade Reviews
I like these baits and fwiw have found them to be a good big fish bait for me. Nice hook and the come through grass pretty well with a swimbait trailer. I bought a handful of these in different colors but ended up throwing the green pumpkin/tiger the most. I do have one tip. Everyone I got that came in a package with Aaron Martens' picture on it run great out of the box. The one's that came in a package without AMarts picture have not run as true (as mentioned above the blade will occasionally stop for no apparent reason). I assume the ones with his picture are newer and maybe have a couple of the bugs worked out.

Skeet Reese Rod
FWIW, a buddy of mine was a marshal on Skeet's boat at an elite event a couple of years ago. He said Skeet was gracious, thoughtful, and down to earth. Skeet was very open and informative about what he was doing on the water. He even pulled out a couple of Lucky Craft Crank Baits and autographed them for my buddy's grandkids at the end of the day.
