First Swimbait Bass

Went out yesterday in the pouring rain to fish a grassy pond with an swaver 168.  Ive never caught anything with a swim/glidebait before.  Water temps were 52 warming to 53.

This was my first, hit while on the pause.

Later I had another swipe and miss.  Then this happened

I glided the trout to the side and then she smashed it...i saw my swaver take off down and to the side.  Almost ties my p.b. at 5 pound 9 ounce

Wind picked up and I couldn't hold my yak and fish the swaver so i switched to a spro john and killed a bunch of one pounders on the pause.

Good fish and handsome bait!

Thanks guys! I felt like Bill Lowen for a minute, I would have stripped if it wasnt dumping the rain.

Glide baits are much more fun to throw and fish than I expected.  Very visual and suspensful.  Also the types of retrieves you can use mixes it up.

The s waver is a great bait. People are afraid to throw it because it's "big". I'm very okay with them thinking that....as they sling their a rig out there one more time.

Eager to see what you get with that bait this spring! Nice fish!

Nice fish!  Nice work with the swimbait.

Nice catch with the swimbait.  Congrats.

Good deal. Watch it swimbait collecting is addictive.

Agreed there. The price jump to the 200 S-Waver is highway robbery compared to the 168, but they are awesome!
