Electronic bait fish noises?

Featured Replies

Over the winter I got some Livingston lures that make some kind of noise that is supposed to sound like a bait fish.  Do you guys have any experience using anything like that? Is it any more or less effective than something that doesn't make the noises?  Just curious.  (I don't even know how you'd figure out what kind of noise a fish makes)

I honestly never had or used any that claim to make "electronic" noise.

I presume that the technology is out there but to me I consider them gimmicks for now.

I've got a Dive Master, but haven't fished it enough to tell how well it works. However, if the noises are not a gimmick, they sure do give a good impression of one. Other than that, It seems like a ok crankbait.

Yeah I'm sure they're just as good or bad as any other crank bait, but I'm still really interested to hear from someone who has used them extensively ;)

Have not used them extensively, but was fishing with a guy recently that had one of the lipless tied on. We got into a school of whites and he was catching them 5 to my 1. I was using RES in a similar color. Not sure if it was coincidence, but was enough to make me buy a few!
