Jig painting question

Featured Replies

I picked up a bunch of unpainted football head jigs that I am going to paint.  I have some powder paint that I've used before, so I am familiar with that process.  But I would like to add some secondary color to the jigs.  Something like a fleck of second color, such as black with blue flecks, brown with purple flecks, or watermelon with black flecks.  I'm just not sure how to accomplish the secondary color.  Any suggestions?

Here's an idea of what I'm talking about, similar to this:

Jeff,

You have to do it in stages, usually bottom color first. My avatar has 6 colors of powder paint on it. PM sent.

Lurepartsonline have some powders with black and blue flecks in them.  I have not tried them, but just tried their pearl and it handled nicely, so I would check with them.  Also Lurecraft sells a copper vein paint that looks amazing when cured.  It has black in it and the "copper" is a close match with Zoom Green pumpkin.  I will take some pics of the Copper vein I have on some and post them.
