Rayburn Red craw and Midnight Blue Craw (crackled).. Anyone ever use these mudbug's? They look pretty cool and you always find them in the oldtimer's tackleboxes, so their must be something to them...

I really like the gizzard shad paints. I have never seen those mud bugs before there very interesting to say the least. I like the crackle pattern you chose it resembles the different segments you would see in a craw. Good work!

The shad and craws are very nice indeed, I'm not hip on the spotted ape pattern, just a little too busy for my taste.   The paint work is spot on for every bait in the bunch.

Crazy looking color isn't it Marty? Guy's down here in Florida swear by that color on a DH though! I guess if your working it fast enough it might resemble a gill or something...

I think they all look good. I have several of the old mudbuggs and hellbenders that were given to me awhile back. I have never fished them but, am told that they are great crankbaits.

The Mudbugs and original Bombers are great cranks.  They do a great job coming through cover - but I take those infernal eye-mounted hooks off and reattach the hooks with split rings.

The smaller ones are killer for smallmouth when they're shallow.  The action is very erratic / panicky

bluegill and shads look great

Great looking bluegill, and the gizzard shads are just killer!

RE: Mudbugs. I've still got a few of them around. They slay smallies on gravel or rock bottoms. Only thing is, like every other Arbogast lure, they want better hooks.

SOME OF THE BEST PAINT JOBS I HAVE SEEN, KEEP THE COMING.

Barry, I have caught a ton of bass on the spotted ape color pattern DH. Your version is the best I've seen. I really think your Gizzard Shad is killer and the bream, as always, superb. As far as the old mudbugs, they were the early models of deep divers and did catch fish, but there were a lot more to catch then. I do like your crackle, especially the crawfish. The absolute master of bottom bumpers is "Big Marty". His baits by far exceed anything I've ever thrown.

All look great, but those gizzard shads are awesome.

They all look good!!!

Really like the mud bugs!  Great work!

Very nice! All are excellently executed. Very very good
