fluke rig, dropshot weight in hook, how is it called??

Featured Replies

how do you call this rig? i think i saw it in here some time, and would like to know its name to read more about it and maybe experiment with it a bit...

its basically a weightless texas, but you use a dropshot weight placed in the hook before inserting the hook in the belly of the fluke...

I've seen that before also.  TBH, since I started using belly weighted hooks, I never thought about it again.  I'm sure you could get a lot more weight on there that way....and maybe drag the bottom with the fluke more reliably upright, but if I'm doing that, I'm more likely just trig/crig it anyway.
