BPS Crankin' Stick Micro Guide 7'10 H

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

Im writing to you from France where i fish Pikes. I have just bought this rod :  BPS Crankin' Stick Micro Guide 7'10 Heavy on BPS web site because here in Europe its very hard to find carbon/glass rods (and it was on sale ^^). I tought this rod could allow me to use big cranckbaits, lipless crankbaits and spinnerbaits without being tired of vibrations. If you might have time to give me some informations about this product i would be please ! I didn't find  any on the web, it's seems you dont generaly use Heavy rods for Crankbaits fishing in USA, what do you think of it ? Is the lure weight (1 oz to 4 oz) accurate ?

Thank you ( and sorry for my english) :D

The Cranking Stick is a very good rod for the baits you described. If you pair it with the correct reel it should help greatly with the fatigue of fishing those baits, but it's not all together avoidable either.

I have not used the exact model you're asking about, but I did own a lighter model a few years ago that served me well. I'd venture a guess that it was designed to fish the largest deep runners (Strike King 8XD and 10XD, Mann's 30+).

Welcome, plenty of folks on here with pike experience.

Thank you guys ! if its design for the very few huge cranks (cool !) so its more a question of power than lure weight i guess.
