Whats anyones opinion on Bass Cat and Stratos boats?

I have been looking for a new boat for about 2 months now. I have decided on a Stratos 285proxl with a 150 yahama vmax. I did quite abit of research and found it to be the best buy for the money.. I pick up my boat next monday and will be fishing tourneyment the following sunday.

Ranger had a good boat buttttttttt... i wasnt going to spend an xtra 5 to10 grand just to say i had a ranger.  

BassCats are great boats. I know several people that own them and never had any trouble out of them. For the money they are top notch!

Stratos and Javelin are basically the same boat and I fished out of a Javelin several times and they are also really good boats!

Well, i have been fishing out of a Stratos for the last three tourneys that I have been in. The last one was on Lake Murray in SC. We had 25-30 mph winds with gust in the 40 mph range. With this amount of wind of course we had some very dangerouse conditions for fishing. The Stratos that my partner owns has made a lasting immpression in my mind on the durability and craftmanship. I can say that it was handeling 6-8 foot waves and still managed to stay fairly dry for the conditions. I honestly wish that I had  video to send to Stratos for them to see what this 18 foot boat went through that day. The waves beat the registration numbers off the bow of the boat.

Yeah I really like both boats they look nice.

I agree about Stratos, you get alot of boat for the money. They ride nice, fish well and have a pretty fast hull. A few guys that fish the water I do run Stratos's and they are very happy with them.

I haven't been in to many Bass Cats so I'm not gonna comment on them.

Let finish my sentence. They both look nice and STABLE and very fishable!

Top Cop 5 is Stratos an all fiberglass boat with no wood?

I'm gonna be the first to say that bass cat is probably a much better deal.  They probably cost more, but we have had a stratos and have a ranger.  Wish i woulda gone with the basscat.
