Curado I Series in a 5.0:1 ratio?

Featured Replies

I own a Curado D series with a 5.0:1 gear ratio, I was on BPS website looking for another in either the E Series or the I Series. Am I overlooking something or  do they not produce them anymore? I even looked at the chronarchs, the lowest I seen was 6.2:1.. I own to Revo STX's and don't want a winch because I fish near and sometimes in brackish water, the revo's frames are starting to corrode despite the fact that I clean them at least twice a year and rinse them after fishing.I own a Dawaii Lexa and Dawaii Tierra spinning reels, they are also corroding..My Shimano Saros spinning reel has zero signs of corrosion, same with my curado D Series.... Could anyone advise me on where,or if they make them... If I have to choose a different brand, IYHO which brand would ya'll suggest for anti-corrosion and reliability. I really want to switch to all shimanos eventually.. Thank you in advance for any replies...

They do not make the E anymore but they do make a 5.5:1 in the new Curado I . In my opinion it's the best curado they have made so far.

Thanks, I never went to the Shimano website.... They only have the 5.5 in the I series, I was hoping for 5.0 : 1..... There's always some on E bay, might go that route

You can still get the E on the Shimano website and the big sportsman's store.I'm definitely getting an I..
