storage

Featured Replies

Hey my dad and I just bought a new Triton TR186 and we were wondering how everyone else keeps their soft plastics organized. Do you like to use plano boxes, plastic bags, worm binder, or do you have a better suggestion.

Thanks

just throw them on the front deck.........

no i like using falcon boxes there compartment are perfect size for vitually all plastics and they make the best spinnerbait and jerkbait boxes by far

The falcon boxes are great for spinnerbaits, but for me something like the worm binders that were mentioned take up less room.

I use big Freezer bags with a white strip on them so I can label them, like Creature baits, Finesse worms, Stick Worms, Goby's, Tubes, Craws..etc. Put them in the side storage units of my Triton. This way if either Tritonman or myself needs something we just grab a bag and get what we need. We had so many tubes though....lol..had to put them under the seat...lol But that worked great for us...The binder bags are too small when storing for 2.

Oh, almost forgot...keep them in their original bags inside the freezer bags.

I'll vote for freezer bags.  Cheaper, easier, and hold more than worm binders.

I started with a couple of freezer bags,  then went to a tuperware container.  Started putting 2 or 3  of each bait into a utility box and rolling up the full bags in freezer bags and putting them into the tuperware container.  Tried a bag sealer with different size bags.  Filled up one storage bin with utillity boxes and went back to the freezer bags in the tuperware container under the seat.   After the last few trips I was trying to sort things back out, and have come to the conclusion my whole boat is my soft plastic storage system.  So I think next I will try to find some fine mesh cargo netting and mount in the storage bin lids and leave a few freezer bags at home.
