I am currently fishing in a ski boat from the 70's. It is 14 ft long and most of that is useless for fishing because it is just a piece of board (firbreglass i believe).

I am hoping to change that into a casting deck.

I do not have any idea where to begin. Can anyone help me out with this?

Best way to start is hook on to it with the pickup. Then drag it down to the local boat dealer. Con him into taking it as a down payment on a new bassboat.(or good used one!) And then you'll be set to hit the lakes in full stride! LOL! Hope this helps!   ;D
