Hookset catchphrase?

Featured Replies

I'm usually quiet till its about 3 ft from the boat and then it's "get in the boat, get in the boat" followed by a loud "YESSIR!!!!!!" Now that I think about that, it's funny. I do the same thing just about every time, weather I'm alone or with someone. Funny to see people in other boats looking over at you too.

I think I tend to be pretty quiet on the hook set. Once a fish is on the line I'm all business.

"There he is."  And if I think it's a good fish, I usually follow it up with a Roland Martin, "SON."

Sometimes I pull a Jeremy Wade (from River Monsters) and say, "Fish on!", when I hook into a decent fish. Sometimes, I even say it with a slight British accent.

I'm partial to "Fish on" and if it's a toad I generally go ape ***** and say "boom" multiple times.

"GOT HIM" every time.. Don't even realize it comes out of my mouth lol

If I'm with a certain guy I always say

"Where you at" but most of the time I just keep quiet and enjoy the fight.

"Here's one" If I'm alone I just say it in my head.

Normal hit = "here we go" or "boom"

Big hit = "BOOM!!" followed by "There she is!"

If there are any bystanders = "Fish on!" (this is something I just started doing when my daughter is fishing with me.)

Got one!
