hey there guys im new to the site so please dont bash me for the question

i have done many searches but nothing so may be you all can help me out here

i want to turn my 14 foot flat bottom into a mini bass boat and cheap you know with casting decks and so on all i can find on the web is one sie where you have to pay and i think thats alittle crazy to pay for info on the internet

i have a good idea of how to do it but the bracing has me cant figure that one out what t use

and how much wieght would it add to the boat how ever i do think it would make it more staible on the water right

someone mentioned at one time to use metel studs as bracing,lighter in weight.

Use 2x4's as braces, i did and they work great for my mini bass boat. Also use 3/4 inch plywood instead of 1/2 inch.

I did the same thing to my 14 ft jon boat came out great.  Here is a site that I used to get started.
