Pflueger Supreme XT Casting Reel

Featured Replies

I never seem to see very many folks talk about Pflueger casting reels on here, but I am pretty interested in trying out the Supreme XT.

Has anyone tried this reel or have any thoughts on it?

I have 2 of the Pflueger Supreme XT casting reels, both are in a 7.1:1 and I'm thinking of switching all my reels out to this one kind. I have quite a few decent reels and the Supreme XT is a killer, the frame is nice to hold, the handle knobs are super comfortable and the reel is at that perfect 6.5oz weight with easy access to the centrifugal brake system. At $150 this reel is my favorite in that range, I even like it better than my Revo Premier 2nd generation which was over $100 more and so far they seem to be holding up. If you aren't worried about taking a chance on a reconditioned item, you can get them at FFO for cheap but I like new and reconditioned scares me but it is a killer price if that doesn't bother you.
