Is p-line any good?

Featured Replies

I use the P-Line 100% Fluorocarbon as leaders on my spinning gear, 8lb on most and 15lb on my skipping rod.  I haven't had any problems with knot strength at either the lure or connecting to the mainline (I use both Palomar & improved clinch knots for the lures with a Crazy Alberto to tie to the main line).  I do add a drop of superglue to the latter, but it passes through the guides with no issues and doesn't get beat up at all in a days fishing.

Then again, I am probably in the minority because I also use Berkley Nanofil as a mainline, a line that a lot of people hate.  The lakes I fish don't have much heavy cover, so I am able to sacrifice supposed durability for castability

Love the CX hate the FloroClear .

CXX is about the only line I use. I was hesitant to try it because I tried to use Flouroclear and about 15 casts in I took it off and spooled my old trusted Yo Zuri Hybrid. But I do love the CXX line.

I've only tried cxx due to the good things I hear about it on this forum. I bought #12 and tried it for a few weeks. It did not fail in any way but I didn't like how it acted on me. That could be since I've used braid for so long though. I bought some #10 to try next.

Same here, except I dont fish much braid. The 12 cxx feels like cable.

Really like the Floroclear and CX but not a big fan of CXX...
