Central Open - En Route!

Featured Replies

All packed up and ready to go!  Driving to Muskogee in the morning for my first ever Bassmaster Open as a co-angler.

Fished local tourneys before my two girlies were born... this will be my first tournament in about 4 years.  Decided to go big. :)

What an honor to fish among Rick Clunn, Greg Hackney, Cliff Pace, Tommy Biffle, Jason Christie, Gary Yamamoto, and many others.  Name another sport where a random IT guy from Oklahoma, with no professional experience or ties, can compete in the same event as the world's best.  So cool.

Anyone else going?

Ended up finishing 89 out of 195 - not bad considering I got skunked today.  My pro on day 2 didn't weigh a fish this tournament, and Tommy ended up getting skunked today too.

Water was way up, and combined with weird weather and a week of fishing pressure, the bite was hard to find for most.  Many of the limits required a 130 mile round trip in dangerous water.  I take some solace in the fact that so many people struggled... including the pros.  See, we ALL have bad days! :)

That being said, absolutely INCREDIBLY awesome experience!
