Wahoooooooooo!

Just got back from vacation with my wife and got a day offshore in.  We were in Riviera Maya, just south of Cancun.  The sea was as flat as I have ever seen it which made for tough fishing.  Several bites, but only 1 hook up and it was really neat.  I guess because of the calm sea the fish were not following/tracking the baits, but hitting them straight up and breaching.  The only fish I landed, a nice wahoo, breached at least 12 foot in the air on the bite.  Very cool to see that!

Jeff, come on.

When the conditions get calm like that, you gotta throw finesse.  Didn't you have your drop shot rig with you?
