Featured Replies

Ive been fishing a few new spots and they have heavy grass.. Any suggestions on lures to use. I have been using the t-rigged senko and wacky rig but all i get is grass. Any suggestions on lures or set ups ?

Ya gonna have to fish heavier T-rigs & jigs ;)

Heavy grass is perfect for a 1/4 oz swim jig, pulled through the top of the grass. I have had great luck on all white swim jigs, with a pearl trailer, and bluegill color jigs with a watermelon colored trailer.

drop shot with the bait positioned high enough to get out of the grass. You can texas rig your plastic with a worm hook so it is weedless

Do you have a picture of the pond you are referring to? Sometimes the phrase "heavy grass/weeds" means different things to different people depending upon region. If it is literally top to bottom of the water column it will be tough. I would look at punch rigs, hollow body frogs, weightless flukes, or maybe texas rig or swim jig. Hard to say what would be best without seeing it or being there...
