One of my favorite points   has a small point off the side of it . I call it a secondary point  . Its on a small lake where people dont usually have depthfinders . Sometimes it is stacked and I catch fish for hours straight .

Major points, primary points and secondary points are all land structures that extend underwater and nearly always visible above water. Major points are usually large, extend into the main lake basin creek/river channel and often form the mouth of a large bay or creek arm.

Primary points are smaller than major points and may extend into creek or river channel and often located inside large creek arms or along the main lake basin.

Secondary points are located inside bays, creek arms, usually for na Y intersection of 2 smaller creek or stream beds. Small points that are part of larger points are normally called features of the major or primary point depending on the local interpretation.
