Trout question

Featured Replies

I'm going trout fishing this weekend, and I need to know, is 4 or 6 lb test mono better for trout, I have read many answers and the results are mixed, some people like 4 others like 6, any thoughts? Thanks. -Alex

i use 4 lb, but that's just me.  i'm usually targeting some smaller mountain stream trout so not too worried about the 4lb test being too light.

Where are you fishing at? I've been places where 2lb was the heaviest they'd bite on, then I've been places where 10lb was fine.

6lb seguar red label fluoro is thinner than 4lb mono, casts further, doesn't stretch like a rubber band, it's invisible, need I say more???

I use Yozurri ultra

it is a 6 with a diameter of 3
