Spare Ignition Keys

Featured Replies

Where might one purchase additional ignition keys for a Mercury Outboard? I purshased a boat recently from a private seller but he only had one key to it. It has 1A stamped on it and I'd like to have 2 or 3 others to keep as back up.

I only got one with my boat as well. My local boat repair shop had mine in stock for less than $10. I'd try some local shops.

Any mercury dealer should have them.

I meant to type purchased instead of purshased.

Will Bass Pro Shops carry them? Aren't they a Mercury dealer?

Ahhhhh...... Ahlstrand Marine..... I spent a lot of money on repairs for my first boat there. A ChrisCraft with a Johnson VRO.  Boat spent more time in the shop than in the water. Finally took it to another dealer who changed the fuel filter....Still using that same dealer 20 years later

Once I saw their location, I knew you'd be all over that one

Any locksmith.

Got mine from a local Merc dealer.  They had to order them but it was just a week wait.

Ordered a couple from Wholesale Marine. Had 1A model ignition keys for Mercury Marine 2002 to present. Hopefully these fit my ignition switch.
