Deep water pickeral

Featured Replies

I was fishing a hump that came up from 35 feet of water to 20 feet. Tossed a carolina rigged black worm. First cast got a hit. Set the hook and thought I had a 6 or 7 lb largemouth. Ended up being a 5.14 pickeral. Next cast caught a 4 lb pickeral. Anyone else catch big pickeral in deep water?

It's not letting me post them. File is too big.

I've caught larger pickerel on deeper weed lines but that's only like 15-20 feet.

I actually caught a real big pickerel last week. Probably close to 5 lbs I didn't put it on my buddy's digi scale but I have been thinking I should have. It was in a lake and I was sure it was a pike when it was in the water but it was a big pickerel. Probably about 8 fow hit a big husky jerk.
