Help with lure I.D.

Featured Replies

Found this lure at  a local tackle store, thought it was an old Clark's Water Scout, but it does not have the fin on the bottom and the hardware is not correct.    Bait is plastic with seam down the middle long ways.   No I.D. on the lure.

Thought maybe someone else had one and could tell me what it is.

It does resemble a Scout. One of the first snagless cranks for fishing heavy wood.

Thank You,   it has a nice rattle like some of the older model cranks have.

You are correct, I still have 2 of them left over from decades ago.  Note the attachment off the rear treble hook for a rubber skirt, which puts alot of motion into the bait.
