For the swimbait Gang ~ Straight from the man himself ~

"We are now offering a collector's edition 8" called the "Extinct" series. The above photo is the first species, out of many, we are reintroducing to the world. It is an extinct cutthroat based off of paintings that I've seen. There is much more to this story, but I will fill you in at a later time. Each bait will be numbered, initialed on the tail, and will come with a certificate to match.

This is a project I have been wanting to do for a very long time. One of the main reasons is to bring awareness to endangered and extinct species. I will personally be painting each run. Our first run will begin August 15th at 9AM pacific time. In the meantime, feel free to checkout the page below."

Seems like they might be able to add the delta smelt in the near future to the list of colors for the "extinct" series.

I have over a dozen limited edition 8" Hudds that were only available at the Bass A Thon over the years and use all of them from time to time.

Other than collector purpose I don't see any particular reason to purchase one, of course those match the hatch followers capable of time travel can get some and then go back to the time when the now extinct species was available so they can match the hatch and do a massacre....

I just ordered one this morning  because I was born with the predisposition to collect things I will never use.

$60 each and already sold out, less than 4 hours after going up for sale.

That's a really honest reply, me too, 95 % of the stuff I own has never touched the water.

Every bass lure has a life spawn after it's initial introduction. If Ken Huddleston can only offer personal painted 8" swimbaits this lure will become extinct. I see Ken has a new 10" swimmer based on the same design. I would like to see something completely revolutionary and Huddleston can do this!
