No, I'm probably wrong on the models.  Im referring to the intro fiberglass models Ranger has.  I saw a couple of them in that same 30-35k price range.

Well good news!

was able to get my dad to up the budget with me. We're now in the price range for a Ranger Z518. I'd love to find a 16 for the discounted price (I know they're still out there now) but I doubt they'll be around come January. Here's hoping. 

Aa far as what comes standard on them from ranger, what specifically do I need to make sure it has? I'm sure I'll upgrade as I go, just want to make sure I get what I need to from the dealer but don't throw a ton of money at them for upgrades I can do myself. Thanks!

Oh and yes, we are keeping our eyes open in the Atlanta/Chattanooga area for a used option. 

 

This is is the absolute longest wait ever. I'm dying to get this thing and get out on the water.

Is a comparable glass boat cheaper?

dunno if you purchased yet or not, but I bought the 188  four months ago and love the boat! center rod storage is awesome along with more then plenty space.30 gal split livewell... on board charger/maintainer..  step up in center and step up fold down seat for back deck,  console is very nice with great gauges, 3 cup holders *one up by trolling motor. .. 75lb trolling motor.  the stock fishfinder was a little weak but I had two garman 75s already... Now for me speed isn't a big concern so I only have the merc 115 on mine..  still do 50mph with a full livewell, full tank of gas, and two people..  that's fast enough for me..  I compared to tracker and was an easy decision.......  dislikes I guess if I had to have some would be its a little loud if you drop something in the boat, and if you sit out in the heat long enough the floor gets hot *fishing barfoot* but that's an easy fix wear shoes haha.. anyway I got all this for 24,000 and got a 1,000 dollar gift card to cabelas with it. and two free ram mounts.

*side tip on the downpayment* only do $2500.00... that puts you in a better interest rate, if you do 10,000 the interest will be higher since they see you are closer to paying it off they want their money.. but they have the no penalty for early pay off so you can do the 2500.00 get a 5% interest rate or whatnot and then pay the 10 grand without penalty!
