I've been laid up having had a ruptured disc in my back and then surgery a little more than two weeks ago. After barely leaving the house for the last 6 weeks, today I went out for a boat ride with a friend of mine.  I was pleasantly surprised when this 39 inch musky went looking for a meal. I seldom fish for muskies because I come home skunked more often than not. But today I thought I'd give it a try and for a change, I got one. My personal best.

Really like the colors on that fish. It's been too long since I've caught a muskie. 

Cheers!  I'm a year out from a lumbar fusion and know that frustration well.  Somehow fish like that seem to make the pain go away.

Nice job! Back with a vengeance.  Knock on wood I have made it through 35 years without a significant back injury. Sports, outdoors etc are my life. Way to make it through. Better days ahead!
