What color of spawn sacs to use for salmon red pink or orange. Also what size hook for the eggs and what kind of hook. I would be using atlas spawn sacs

If you're buying spawn sacs in a jar, red seems to work well on the tributaries of the Great Lakes. I've also caught them on corn and marshmallows.

In September and October the salmon run in the bear river in petoskey and I will be traveling to petoskey to fish for them. I've heard there is a small strain of steelhead that go through also but I am targeting salmon more 

Go online at watch a video "how to rig roe for salmon". You need to learn a egg loop knot, small red puff balls and red size #2 salmon egg hook (octopus hooks work).
