Adopt a pet (Opossum)

An opossum has been hanging around our back deck lately and has been sitting on one of the rails.  My girlfriend wants to run it off because she believes it's scaring the cat away but I think it is adorable.  It hasn't dug into any of the flower pots (yet) so I don't mind it being there.  Am I the only one who thinks opossums are cute?  And am I the only one who feels compelled to put an apostrophe after the letter "O"?

I realized after I posted that an opossum isn't another fish species.  Just another species.  I'd move it if I could but anyhow...those pics look like me the day after a bender-especially the second one.

Opossums are nasty, smelly animals, but they eat tons of bad bugs and dead animals so I guess they serve a purpose. One thing is for sure, they're not cute.

love to pop that filthy vermin with a bat

OK true. When I was about 7 yrs old ,I came across a opossum playing dead close to dark, I surprised it. So I kicked it ,rolled it over, hit it with a stick===nothing, it was true to its name===========UNTIL,I whipped out my trusty Zippo lighter and held to its nose.  About 20 seconds of that convinced it to abandon the tradition of playing dead. It snorted and waddled away. Kids !

Yeah theyr`e not cute
