Mike L.,Thanks for your generous offer, but we're good now.We got power back and now it's just clean up time.

What I'm most concerned with is my family in NC.Theres several groups of them, and I've now heard from most of them.

Another twist in the situation is that my beloved mom passed away this week and we are taking  her back home ( hopefully ) this sat.in SE NC. for her burial.

Wow.Just watching weather channel and one of my distant cousins was being interviewed by Jim cantore about the rescue operation.

Again,very appreciative of your offer.

Mike

Mike, what part of NC? I will be more than happy to get you what Information I can. Please don't hesitate to ask!

Most of NC has been flooding and power outages, lots of trees down as well. Not half so serious as what happened in Florida. I will say, the flooding was crazy. These pictures were taken on Saturday, all of this was dry ground on Friday. (The quality is due to these being screenshots from a video and I had a plastic bag over the phone). Also, I wouldn't recommend going out in the storm and water like I did, should have stayed inside. The middle picture is a parking lot in our neighborhood.

Kyle, how close to the Seminary Is that Picture? My sister and her husband live down the street from there.

They must not have had It that bad as they went to the Walk For Hope at the Angus Barn this morning.

The water is over Kyle's knees which is not good.

Glad he and his family's property was not damaged.

Keep us posted on what is going on in Wake Forest.

And I understand I-95 is closed at Lumberton due to high water.

Yeah and I'm almost 6'2 haha, it was pretty high. The ground slopes around my neighborhood and there's a creek nearby so it was a natural flowing point for the water. It's almost all back to normal as far as flooding is concerned. Schools were cancelled today because of power outages, and there's still a number of trees down. A couple bridges and roads got washed away from the floods in the area, but the damage was nothing compared to Florida and Haiti and the like.
