Best travel case for a 6 ft 2-piece spinning rod?

Featured Replies

I want something that will make transporting and carrying my 6 ft 2 piece St Croix spinning rod when fishing from a kayak.  I want to both protect the rod and reel as well as consolidate it and make it easy to carry.  I would like it to be as small as possible and to be able to leave the reel attached. Thanks!

I think that is for a fly fishing outfit.   You will have a hard time finding one which will allow you to keep the spinning reel on.  FWIW I use a Plano fishing rod tube and carrry the reel in my bag.

Looks like that should work.  It says it will hold a spinning setup.  I would measure how far up your reel is and compare it to thr specs.

Cool, thanks everyone. Can't wait to get on the water Sunday, the rain killed it this weekend.

I use this one.

i fit a 6'10" two, piece in it.  The largest guide is tight, but it holds the rod stable. I only have to loosen the reel handle. It has been stepped on and has held up well.

That's the exact one I was going to suggest.

It's a good case.  And, it's inexpensive which is my favorite part.
