I know ardent doesn't have the best rep for their reels but I figured I would give them a shoutout for their awesome customer service.  

I recently purchased to apex reels from a friend who had obviously use them rough and hard.  He thought they were done for as he had actually somehow managed to bind one them them completely to where the gears were locked when turning the handle.  The other was just Geary. 

I called ardent and spoke to Mr. Thompsonabout paying for repairs and needed parts etc as I wasn't the original wonder and was told to send them in.  I had also requested a set of 7.3:1 gears to upgrade an apex elite I had.  

Got a call yesterday that my reels were headed back 2 day ups.  One reel was replaced fully free of charge, the only cleaned, lived and the gear set I requested was included.  Total cost to me? Nada...all was free of charge. Remember, these were not my reels but ones which had been used hard.  

 

Service like That deserves notice.

A few years back I was close to buying Ardent reels but decided to go Lews. 

Ardent had some really great prices at the time. These were USA made reels. 

Good luck with your reels.. I'm sure your going to be happy with them.
