The wrong 4

Featured Replies

Bama, Clemson, UW and Penn State. Ohio State was a waste of time. Give all the champs a chance.

Having OSU in the final four was like Ronda Rousey being ranked the #1 contender after not fighting for over a year.  Makes no sense.

I'm pretty sure the outcome would have been the same....

I would have substituted USC for Washington and Penn State for Ohio State.

Alabama already destroyed USC this year, and Washington won the Pac-12. Not much you can do about the selection there. Washington played Alabama fairly tight, a pick 6 and 68 yard TD run blew it open other than that the game was close. Ohio State getting shellacked by Clemson was a bit of a shocker though. This year shows the need for an expanded playoff if anything. USC, Penn State, LSU and Oklahoma all certainly looked better than Washington and Ohio State this weekend. Then again none of those teams played Alabama or Clemson...

Expanding the playoffs might be okay but then it would go from 3 games to 7 (4 teams to 8). That might not be too bad as it would only extend the season 1 weekend.  Expand it further and turn the bowl games into playoffs.  There are already 40-some bowl games, kinda like giving out participation trophies.  Maybe next year there will be the Bass Resource Fish Bowl.  ;)

I'd say the best 2 teams in the country are playing each other for the NC. All the rest really doesn't matter.

Wyoming shoulda made it ^_^

We will probably see the number of teams expanded to 8 in the near future.

Too much pressure mounting to stay at 4.
