Hair Jigs

Featured Replies

So for you hair jig guys what jigs are you using? I fished the Punisher brand hair jig last year with fairly good success but I am always looking to try new ones. The Punisher use craft hair but I am wondering if natural hair would be a good choice.

I use the ones that I tie myself. Buck tail, craft fur, kip tail, squirrel tail, there's a lot of choices out there.

Another good one to look at (actually several nice ties) is Andy's Custom Bass Lures. Nice mix of hair types and some creative ties available commercially. Caught many a fish with these.

I tie my own, mostly buck and squirrel tail. I go through a dozen or so between pre and post ice here, so it's a frugal thing for me.
