I hate these hypotheticals, but oh well,

if im bass fishing, a swim jig. If I'm trying to catch whatever will bite, an inline spinner.

Black and red flake ribbit frog tied to 60 pound power pro with a 5 size double hook.

Good for bass, bowfin, gar, and gators.

Squarebill or chrome 'Trap.

manns baby 1- chrome or gold.

Senko hands down.

I'll play along... If a 3/8oz jig and trailer can count as one bait, I'll take that.  If not, I'd probably take a soft plastic stickbait or semi-solid tube (like the Fat Ika).

I think all of those lend themselves to a variety of techniques (bouncing, stroking, swimming, etc etc) and are capable of consistently producing fish.

My bad for not clarifying but this isn't a survival situation. This is for sport fishing for bass. The goal is to catch as many fish as you can and you can only bring one lure.

OK I would normally take a Grape 6" Mann's Jelly Worm 3/16 oz black tungsten worm/bullet weight and a 3/0 worm hook texas rigged or what RoLo is fishing. B)

T-rigged 6" black straight-tail worm

But since I can only bring one lure the worm would eventually need replaced. So I have to go to a siebertoutdoors 3/8 oz. Dredge Brush Jig in Bluegill color. They are so good I don't have to have a trailer. :D

If I am just going after numbers, I would bring a shad colored crankbait.

Quite a number of times Ive set out for a morning of fishing with just one lure one rod/reel. One time it was just a Fat Ika another jigncraw another senko another pond magic spinnerbait. Or if Im trying out a new lure thats all Ill take for a few outings. Like when I first tried Keitech paddle tails thats all I use for like 3-4 days.

This time of year.  Vision 110 jerkbait.

Minnows/baitfish style lure so I'd bring super fluke jr.

Can fish it weightless, topwater, dropshot, jighead, underspin, etc.

Anything 3.5-4.5" in green, on a dropshot, and it's on for numbers.

Black and blue jig all day everyday
