Using Inflatable boats

Featured Replies

I have a question about using inflatable boats in NJ. Were can you use them and how do you find out if it is allowed? I know some places have a sign that say "No inflatables". The inflatable boat I have has no motor. How do I go about finding out? Or can I just take it any were that doesn't have a sign.

I would check what that NO INFLATABLES sign really means, too vague to mean something in particular because at least there are 3 watercarfts that are inflatable: belly boats, pontoons and inflatable boats, the sign could only be refering to other type of inflatables. There are some places where skin/water contact is banned so that immediatley rules out belly boats and pontoons even if you wear waders.

I found this site with a bunch of different criteria listed for each lake. What does it mean car top launch is ok? Is inflatable boat under car top launch category? If you click that link, and go to warren county-ghost lake it says you can have car top launch and electric outboards. So does this mean inflatable boats are allowed?

I find out by going out on the water and when the police come and inform me im not suposed to be out on my raft i can now check that lake/pond/resevour if they never come then either ur good to go or next time they might
