what's your dream boat?

Featured Replies

just wonderin what ur dream boats would be.

What is my dream boat?  My dream boat is anything that floats, has enough room for my rods, fishing bag, and me to stand in, and room for a trolling motor.  That's all I need.

;)

At this point in time, any bass boat would be great.  Or any boat for that matter.

They are all SWEET and would take any brand in a heart beat ..... but there has always been something about Bass Cats that have caught my eye.

I've got it.  Javelin R20 DC w/225 Rude.   It's fast, handles good, roomy, carries a heavy load very well, has nice lines, rides good, and paid for.   This boat is a fishing boat, I take care of the working parts but I don't get upset when it gets dirty (I wash and polish it at least once a year whether it needs it or not) or scratched and the brown water line around the hull doesn't bother me.

Bet none of those paying dearly for their Rangers, Tritons, etc can begin to say most of those things.  Ride and roomy, yes, but scratched and dirty???

Ranger Z20 w/ Evinrude 225 E-tec. ;)

Well iam getting mine in less then a year. A ranger z20 with a 225 yamaha vmax.

The infamous Champion 221- with twin Yammie Vmax 200's.  The boat was on the cover of Bass n Walleye boats.  Just for fun though. I'd hate to pay the fuel bill on that thing everyweekend but It sure be a head turner.

Other wise I'm pretty happy with my current boat and will be happier with a Hydrotec stage II kit on it.

Like mentioned above. There are alot of good boats out there now.  For me since my boat is paid for it would be any 20ft. boat without a payment lol...

I'm with you, I'm pretty fond of my 19' Champoin with NO payments!!

Yea, Every year for the past 5 years I talk about getting a new boat but can't get myself to pull the trigger.

If i would sell the aluminum and buy fiberglass i would be happy

with around a 16' boat max rated for around a 90 whatever brand

makes that size boat now.Wouldn't burn much gas, still light enough

to easily tow and could handle three people on board and not cost

a arm and a leg! ;)

Ding Ding!  ;D  I've had my day with payments on both new and used boats.  I'll take either without a payment.  8-)

I voted Triton. However, seeing how I am mostly a weekend Angler that doesn't really fish tournaments.  I would really just like something around 17-18ft with a 90-120HP 4-stroke engine to save money, get me were I need to be, and enjoy my rides on the water.  Not too expensive, but not too cheap.  I'm thinking this will be the case in 4-5 years.

im pretty happy with my 99 nitro 882 mostly because its paid for and dependable....but i sure would love a new bullet  or allison

I own mine ! No.... I mean, "I really own it". It was paid for the day I drove it off of the lot, 6 months ago. But seriously, if I hit the lotto for $100 million, this would still be my freshwater bass boat.

Sure, I'd probably buy a 45 ft, 3000 hp, off shore racer, plus maybe a 90ft yaught I could live on whenever I felt like it......

But for trophy bass fishing, and for that matter, pretty much all freshwater fishing, I really feel that my boat is absolutely perfect !

This is my little baby :-) ...my G3 V143T

I can't quite explain it, but anytime I'm forced to fish out of a big, heavy, high performance glitter rocket, I feel a complete loss of confidence..... Although the last time that happened, I stuck an 11.4.... So yea', it's probably all in my head ;-)

Peace,

Fish

on that yaught, you weren't even linked to the "big one".... that was only the dinky little 137ft'er ! :-) Click on the 160 ! Check the fuel tank..... 14,000 gallons ! What would that cost to fill at a "marine gas station" ? 60K ??? Just think, you could buy a brand new, top of the line, high performance bass boat, every time you filled the tank :-)

Seriously though, that 16-7 Egret you posted the link to is freakin' awesome ! I wouldn't get rid of my boat for it..... But if I could afford "two boats", that one would sure be sweet for fishing the Ca Delta, Suisun Bay, San Fran Bay, etc ! .... as a Striper, Halibut, and Sturgeon boat.

My buddy has a very similar layout, with his Tracker bay style boat, and a 75hp 4 stroke Merc. His is sweet too.... Unfortunately, his is pretty much used for an expensive yard ornament. I think he should just give it to me ;-)

Peace,

Fish
