Featured Replies

kb here   i'v heard so many different amounts of seafoam to use in a normal gas fill up ( not to shock the engine) just  how many oz. of seafoam to 1gal of gas  for a  two cycle  200 yamaha hpdi  thanks  kb. ;)

Just follow the direction on the can.  Then you cannot go wrong.

It's on the can.  I use 1 oz per gallon and it's in every drop of gas I run through my 225 Ficht.

you always run seaform in your outboard thru the season?

i wouldnt run that stuff year round, its not good for your seals to be constantly subjected to that stuff. Not to mention all the smoke!

Yeah as a technician in a auto dealership  i can say sea foam ran consistantly through in an engine does harm. Everyone in awhile its good for cleaning carbon and mineral deposits out, but it plays hell on o-rings and gaskets.

I usually put 30 - 35 gallons of gas in my tank when I buy gas and I always add 2 cans of Seafoam.   I've been building, modifying, tearing my motors down a putting them back together for a long time and have never seen one thing that's caused me concern with running Seafoam.  Seen a lot of good things from running it though.  I have a couple of motors that turn over 7,000 rpm and make over 300 hp so one would think if SeaFoam was harmful after a few years in these motors I would have seen it.   Like I said, knowing the difference between before I started running SeaFoam and how they look now when I pull one down, I'll keep running the SeaFoam.

thanks w2slow.

and everyone else.

I'm thinking ov using in my outboard till the end of the season to help de-gum.

And I'm going to run it thru my jiffy 3 HP ice auger.  ;)
