Rage Tail Craw vs. Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Craw vs. V&M Wild Thang Craw

Featured Replies

Which of these baits is the best all-around craw for multiple techniques (i.e. T-rig, weightless, flippin'/pitchin', topwater) and why?

My favorite all-around is Rage Tail Lobster

Why?

Cause I don't play where tighteyes are ;)

I'm a Speed Craw fan. Great bang for the buck. Your mileage may vary so buy a couple different brands and see what you like.

I'm a big fan of the Zoom ultra vibe craws also. The magnum speed craw works great on a shaky head or as a topwater.

I world normally say the Rage until my boater in a tounament last week out fished me 2 to 1 useing an ultra vibe, until he gave me one..

They all work. I really like the Yum Christie Craw also.

Berkley chigger craw and Rage tail craw feel about equal to me. The Berkley chigger craw seems more durable. It also feels like it moves more water on the retrieve, but I think the Rage craw might have more action on the fall.

I use Zoom 3.5" ultra craw on finesse presentations.

Bait Monkey says stop trying to narrow things down... just get them all!

Like the action of the Rage craw when worked slow. Also like the Zoom z craw. Both have worked really well for me.

I have really good luck using the Ultravibe Speedcraws around here.

I like the Zoom Zcraw better then all of them next best choice speed craw Zoom for the win

I like the ultra speed craw for t rigs pitching into brush and working the bottom, mainly because they hold up and are cheap. I like the rage craws on football jigs. I really don’t like the long loose arms of the v&m wild thang craws.

As a jig trailer i prefer the rage.  For other presentations I will take the zoom.  The zoom also makes a good chatterbait trailer  when put on with the claws vertical.

Zoom ultravibe speed craw on a swim jig for the win for me.

There is no best in any lure category. Some produce better than others in certain circumstances. Take Rage Craws, when a lot of action is called for, they reign, but other times you're better off crawling a craw with claws that float to draw attention to it.

The speed craw is my #1 choice for when a swimming worm is needed.

It can be deadly throughout the water column especially on top through the slop.

Personnly I use the magnum more than any other size.

The Craw is my #2 choice for most all bottom contact presentations.

Haven't used the VM.

Never had a reason too.
