Clearing Eye on Megastrike Shake2 Pro

Featured Replies

I have some Megastrike Shake2 Pro shakey heads with some rough material around the hook eye. I believe its the lead that is used in molding the jigs. What is the best way to clear out the excess material so that it wont fray my line?

Pocket knife or jig eye cleaner.

Jig Eye Buster is what you are looking for and they can be found most places that sell tackle.

Will it work with the recessed line tie? That was my biggest problem, its kind of tough to get in there.

Well, find something you stick in there.  I never got a Shake2 Pro with that issue.  If it's lead, it's not gonna hurt your line.  Lead is soft.

Use an old hook.

The next time you visit your dentist ask if he/she has a broken dental pick ready to be thrown out... the usefulness of a dental pick is limited only by your imagination.

Dental pick is a good idea.  You can get them at a pharmacy.
