Where to donate

Featured Replies

I have 4 rods that I don't use anymore and would like to donate them. I called Dicks, they never heard of this. I called BassPro and he said we only do this in the Spring, which it's still Spring time :/. So where else could I donate these rods?

Try your local Boys and Girls club, High School or college bass team if they have one, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, or how about donating to an upcoming charity tournament.

A lot of them will have a raffle to raise money.

You're a good man for trying to donate them.

Your fish & game (fish & boat in PA) office will probably take them or at least tell you where you can donate the equipment.

Why not check with a local group of Wounded Warriors. Where are you located?

I googled "where to donate fishing equipment" and put in my local city and State. I found an organization that provides fishing gear to underprivileged kids. They pay for all shipping and give a charitable deduction.

Try your local boy scouts

I donate older rods and reels I don’t use anymore to people I know. Usually co-workers with young kids to encourage them to try fishing.

When you donate to organizations you really have no idea what they will do with your donation. You hope it will go to someone in need but you never know.

Gray area's in "ALL" area's of giving unfortunately....fortunately caring and sharing never goes out of style.
